got to turn the wheel 3 times or in other words push back and gps movement, bigger issue is blocking in, as soon as they pop the cargo door, you end up waiting for the gate agent "for free", some guys leave the left engine running until the gate agent shows up...

I can imagine that carpet dance when something gets sucked into the engine and they ask why the APU was up yet you had an engine going. “Well, I was trying to keep my clock running”.

Ground personnel SHOULD NOT be approaching the aircraft with beacon on and engine running. Stupid is as stupid does. We can't do everyone's job but I'm not gonna sit there for an exoritant amount of time and not get paid for it. We already spend the majority of our day doing that ****.

You think a Captain and a tamper are held to the same standards when it comes to anything? Company just wants rampers to show to work; if they can manage to not get sucked into the engine or get something sucked into the engine,

Sounds like you guys will be getting a raise by block time too.
JB is main cabin door close with first brake release to final break application before main door opens.
Its a shame when you park at the gate after chocks are in and you need to release the brake for brake cooling.
plus we don’t have to wait around on the plane when customs holds the paxs.
