Spirit is a dying airline unfortunately (or fortunately depending on prospective) Either JetBlue takes it or Frontier takes it, either way it’s days are numbered.

JetBlues pilot group accepted a 3% pay raise for a 10 year deal that gave ~30% of its focus city and almost all of its future international flying away to AA… Please don’t be like JetBlue pilots if you get a substandard offer.

while I’m no fan of the NEA nor of LOA17 that gave scope relief, that’s not exactly what the agreement is. JetBlue actually has a net positive number of slots in LGA (by a large margin) and JFK, and gained flying from AA from the deal.

If you can’t see it you’ve got blinders on. We are losing money with record margins being recorded in the industry and we have the lowest costs including pilots. This place is toast if this merger doesn’t happen.

I don’t see how people disagree with this opinion right now. They are running this place into the ground and aren’t trying to improve literally anything.

Cmon man they aren’t running this place into the ground! I am now a certified cyber security specialist and peer mediator level sexual harassment expert! Don’t forget that while we might not be printing money, we are printing money to have 35 groups of special inclusion so no one feels left out. Seriously I don’t understand even though both entities need to run separate until further approval is made down the road, why doesn’t Robin have a lunch with Teddy and say WTF are you doing?

I’m sure the pay proposal they submit to the NC will reflect pay rates circum pre 2018 rates. That’s if they actually followed through in presenting one.

You are both correct.

To be more accurate, LOA 17 says that JetBlue CAN give 30% of int’l and focus-city flying to AA.
However, ALPA and the company assured pilots “They have absolutely no intentions of ever doing that. And that’s why it MUST be part of the deal.”
