Same with the river visual into DC or express way visual into LGA. Once you’ve done it a few times it isn’t hard. I think that’s the issue here. Most pilots flying up there haven’t ever done it before.

Or folks could just read their read files and union email and they’d know how to do it and what not to do.

Yeah cause captains never suck at landing.

Dont be sensitive. CA only landings are not a Spirit only practice. I dont think you need reassurance that FOs can "land real good too"

I think it’s more of a liability thing. That way when the captain runs one off into the EMAS they can tell the insurers and the FAA they tried everything they could to avoid this.

I’m not sensitive but I cringe when I’m with one of those captains and we’re going somewhere that is “captain only”

Why? You didn’t make the rule. It’s not some power play or personal judgement on your partner. One day they’ll get to do it too.

The best kind, “Captain FO”! Coming to a cockpit near you! You’ll get to play fun games like- “stump the chump” and “you didn’t call for the checklist”! But wait, there’s more, “my hand is on the flap lever for kicks and giggles”! Lastly- “I left the trash behind for the next crew”!
