"These calculations resulted in a range of implied price per share of $34 to $64 (the “Spirit DCF Range”). Barclays noted that the implied per share merger consideration of $25.83 was below the Spirit DCF Range." So a B6 offer of $33 really makes it look like an empty attempt to raise F9s offer and that they maybe had a look under the skirt.

If JetBlue didn't go hostile I would say you would have a point. However, since JetBlue is buying up shares as we speak I doubt that is the case. Why pay more than you have to? Especially when Frontiers offer was so laughably low.

The number 33 is even more interesting now.

Haha. Well our CEO yesterday called the next phase of Spirit to be the “most successful airline in Earth”. Seems crazy runs in most C suites

At least she has brake fans….

I’ll never forget a Captain of mine smashing a roach with the maintenance logbook 2 days after the “pest control” was written in there on that specific plane…. Made for quite a laugh.

Further tying up 10 million dollars to hopefully get paid out when the deal goes through. Just to break even. No matter the scale, this is not a superior offer if your DCA is higher than $30 a share.

As to your second part. Ya it had better be a better product since it costs more. But that doesn’t mean the growth potential is the same.
it would take 100k just to break even at $30. You’d have to buy an additional 5000 shares. No one in their right mind would do this.
