This is my fear. They come out a couple weeks ago said they weren’t close to getting the votes. Maybe they knew they were 5-10 percent away and spent the last 2 weeks making bribes and cutting deals… trying to steal it at the last second before B6 can counter. I think it’s unlikely but possible.

To be fair, ("to be faaaaiiiiirr") since 90% of the delays I experience are due to Spirit's inability to staff for even the most basic operational needs, I typically hold back commentary in my delay reports. But if they want details, I suppose I could give details.
I don’t give details. I say

“MX”
“Boarding”
“Ramp hold”

Sorry but if the company truly wants better reporting on delays, hire people to do just that. Have supervisors who ensure flights go out on time and report why when they aren’t, instead of stacking the pressure on one contract gate agent to do it.

I’m sorry but it’s getting tiresome with the continued crap that gets tossed on us because they literally won’t hire the people to run an airline.

Repeat after me…

“We need rampers at (insert gate)”
“Waiting on a jet bridge driver”
“Waiting on paperwork”
“Disconnect the air, it’s hot”
“Any idea when the gate will be open?”

Day after day, year after year, we keep saying those same phrases and now we are told if we only make detailed delay reports, it will help fix it. Haha. Sure

Sorry Teddy, when you’re done playing Monopoly Millions, you have an airline to run. Until then, call me Capt Bare Minimum

I think it's almost the opposite of what you fear. I believe the votes aren't there, and F9 and NK are ready to just let the vote fail and move on. Based on JB's silence, which wasn't their style previously, I believe they have an agreement with NK ready to be signed upon vote failure. Just my read, maybe tomorrow we will finally get an answer.

I hope this is the case.

I think this is accurate, my guess at least. Delaying it until tomorrow is their Hail Mary that maybe the stock would rise in these few weeks to make the JBLU offer look less attractive to investors, which is really hasn’t. I think if Ted had the votes, he would be propping up the call tomorrow to remind everyone. I bet he just wants it done as “quietly as possible,” let it die, and then start with JBLU.

Two of the three times wasn’t the delay announced on the eve of the vote?

No one is actively selling the merger, or selling against it anymore from the corporate perspective. I think that says a lot.

The last one was a day and half prior I believe. The one before that was market close the day before.
