You don’t need to fight to make pilots ahead of other groups. Pilots will generally have the longer longevity with the airline, it’s a profession vs a job. So having priority based on DOH is all you need. And as far as I know, most other airlines do exactly that, DOH. Even ol NK has it based on DOH.

So I guess JBLU is what, one of the only airlines who has this policy? Sure seems like something the pilots and FAs can approach the company about. But whatever. I’m learning to accept how things will be; “that’s just the way they do it, we won’t use negotiating capital to change it”

We don’t negotiate for the FAs and the vast majority of them are not career employees. Let’s be clear on that

I feel like NK has a better Vacation deal as well, mostly for the flexibility factor

21 days of vacation after 6 years versus 10 years
Choose between 7 - 9 days off*
Choose between 12 - 44 hours of pay
Sell back unused days

The hours separate from days system is unlike any airline I’m aware of. Complicated to understand at first for those familiar with other airline systems but I like it. We do need more days (weeks) per year at the top longevity and more hours for all.

Question

What's with the 320NEO taped up as if it's in long term storage outside the hangar at DTW?
