AA and UA have FL bases. Good prices for homes and no state taxes

Me personally, not only is Miami Metro Dade county a no go (living or commuting to), AA still hasn't enacted how many contract provisions from their 10 year old contract?

United might be cool but like SWA super senior in FLA.

people in the UA forum seem to indicate Mco is pretty junior on the FO side. If they decide to grow it and include tpa as a co base it’ll go more junior in both seats

Apparently MCO at SWA can be obtained within a year. I’m not entirely surely. MCO at UA is fairly junior too. Everything else you’ve said is very fair!

Being a narrow body FO is sooo last decade

Y'all need to have your sights set on widebody FO or narrowbody CA, unless deep down you are truly okay with slinging gear on a 737 for fifteen years.

Hello I’m looking for advice as a 50 year old captain without 121 experience in the USA, Should I join Spirit or JetBlue as a. FO if I want to live in Florida?
Thanks!

I have very little interest in flying widebodies or being a part of that lifestyle at all.

like it or not having them makes those that don’t want to do that type of flying much more senior than they would be otherwise than at an airline that doesn’t have them

I’d fly a widebody on shorter hops for real widebody pay. LAS-DFW, DTW-LAX, ORD-MCO, and such…. If that kind of widebody flying could exist here, I’d be game…

That's where I'm at with it. I could possibly hold MCO as an FO at UA but then I would spend the rest of my career in the right seat, commuting or moving to a new higher cost of living city. None of which appeal to me. I * should be able* to upgrade before merger or if I don't and get stuck right seat at B6 at least my mortgage is super cheap.
