I want the best for this place too because I chose to be here. On the other hand, as considerate as you may be, you should rejoice that over 20% of the pilot roster is not eligible to vote.
So basically what you’re saying is: “Screw the rest of you guys (who all went through first year pay at a lower rate than you), this benefits me right now. I know I took the job at this current rate before ANYONE knew there would be an early TA, but if you don’t give me what I want I will leave. My buddies will leave too. We’ll all leave together holding hands because you guys are big meanies who won’t give us what we want.”

Listen closely kid: I WANT ALL OF US TO HAVE EVEN MORE!

I was hired well before this announcement and almost to a year on property. Other airlines started significant pay increases after I was hired. This TA was later introduced and I along with my peers agreed that this would stop us from leaving to other competitors like Delta, AA or United. This is an evolving industry and for now this TA would simply keep me interested in staying just as back when the scheduling system kept me interested in staying. Stone me for having my opinion, it’s the reason why most “yes” voters steer clear of these forums.

Says the guy who thinks we should be able to buy cars from a dealership at cost or better. Good business model ma’am.

What you are insinuating is not what I meant. I’m agreeing with the negotiating committee that this benefits ALL of us now and later.

No matter this TA or not you’d be wise to go to a legacy. Being the bottom of a youngish 8000 pilot airline with no widebodies will not favor you even if we make the same as the legacies.

If you live in Florida that might be a wild card. However AA and UAL now have Florida bases.

I love seeing all of these FNGs on their first rodeo here posting about what is best for the pilot group and pretending that their opinion actually matters to anyone.

Y'all keep up the good work while I go make some popcorn.

But, but, does anyone else have a used car salesman cousin that can help us?
