Sadly I’m feeling the same way. What do you think the timeline would be from application to class date if you get hired? I don’t want to have to make a decision until I know for sure this thing isn’t happening and don’t want to burn a bridge at United if I’m not ready. Also don’t want to wait until everything and their mother floods out of here.

I think this mentality will hurt you in the long run. If you are wanting to go, get out and get a legacy seniority number. If not, stick it out and wait. You don't want to wait too long and have another 1500-2000 people ahead of you, if you decide to leave.
i get what you’re saying. I’m not wanting to go. If the merger is approved I’m never leaving. If it’s not that’s when difficult decisions must be made. |

Define "done". I mean serioulsy when was the last major US airline that just closed up shop and said "thanks everyone you may go now"?
Braniff Airways. And they were a huge airline https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bran...tional_Airways |

My buddies that went to UA said that assessment to interview can be anywhere from a few days to a month. Depends on slots available, but they said that most people chose 2-3 weeks out. This allowed them to prep. Interview is about a 1.5 - 2 hour ordeal. Very relaxed environment from what they said. A few days after the interview, they got the email saying they got the CJO. After that, it was approximately 2ish months to a class. All that said, seems like we’ll know the verdict of the trial by years end so it would give you enough time to decide. |
