Im not talking about grounded NEOs
As reported by the CNBC article, lessors are shopping all planes under lease for Spirit. If NK files CH11, again, the plane lessor doesn’t need to renegotiate to Spirits terms and can ask the judge to move those planes to a carrier in waiting
or if they file Ch7, they have airlines ready for the planes.
Even ol Barry Biffle put a video out about Spirits assets coming on the market. Which I do find ironic that he would be talking about the demise of one ULCC, as his own ULCC has issues at hand too…whistling through the graveyard.

Here are some of the things he has said since 2020:
1. We are not going to just survive, we are going to thrive.
2. We are the best positioned airline to thrive post COVID.
3. There is a reversal of fortune coming up and it’s going to be Frontier’s time.
4. There is going to be a bloodbath amongst the legacy airlines and we wish them luck.
5. He has sent a video to the employees from an airplane lavatory.
6. In the last quarter results call he kept hinting that Spirits demise was going to be awesome for F9.
I don’t even know how they let this guy make public comments. In any other industry he would have been fired years ago. So don’t take him too seriously.

sorry to say brotha but everyone’s “negative” posts aren’t the reason why you’ll need to maybe eventually leave. It’s a discussion forum, and that’s what’s happening. Your choice is to stay or go. That’s on you and nobody else.

I thought it was expensive and time consuming to make these A/C more functional for the real airlines.
All that said, I think the leasing companies are in for a rough ride either way. Sucks to be them!
