I'm blown away at how fast this has transpired. Spirit would go to a new city and drum up new business that didn't exist due to how low their costs were. What has happened? Is this all because of the parked jets? Or did the low end of the market just disappear with the inflation that has happened?

Then Spirit had a few other major problems compounding their issues. This video is already a year old.

Teddy just kept announcing service to new cities telling stories about flowers and sunshine.... meanwhile the company have been losing their ass on every single new route. It has all been a lie....!

The company can’t change a pilot contract unless it’s in BK or the union agrees to it. If Spirit goes into Chapter 11 then they have to petition the judge to amend the PWA. The judge can say No!

he can also say yes… and then if our union is worth anything they provide overwhelming evidence that most A320 pilots in the US are paid more than we are. So it’s a double edged sword.

At this point I think you'd have to pay the company $1000/hr for the privilege of flying. And that's still probably not enough.
