$2 billion in losses since 2020 with $1.2 billion in 2024 alone. When the credit card maxes out who will write a check for another $1 billion to keep the lights on another year? What’s the point? You’d have better luck gambling it in Vegas.
It’s hard to fathom a scenario where NK exists a year from now. No assets, no value, and a fleet of PW airframes that nobody wants. If this writing on the wall isn’t brighter than the obnoxious yellow then nothing will be.
Good luck to all but you’re whistling past the graveyard if you’re riding this one out.

Summary of Town Hall
RASM up 1% VS 2019 CASM up 44% since 2019.
Doesn't expect to see profitability in the next year won't give an exact date.
On time performance 4th place for the year and NPS highest it has been.
Return to office mandate in the next few months for corporate employees.
CEO says we need a merger in the future but need to be in a stronger position so we are desirable.
38 AC on OTG 43 by October for PW engine issues will be around 40 until late next year problems continue until 2028.
No base closures considered as of today.
Very unlikely to go cargo or charter route. 320s don't make sense with it.
Trying to fly to destinations with less competition. May start more frequency to international destinations.
In seat power may come if they can prove it drives revenue.
Go Savvy removed because simplicity and people spend more in general if there's a larger gap from Go to the premium economy seats.

frontier is the only one it will be them. When it happens is the unknown.

Thanks bro. Look… stop justifying your decision to leave by coming back here and telling us all over and over that NK is going to liquidate. Myself and I’m sure many others still here at NK are happy for everybody that has moved on and we wish you the best but I just cannot figure out the obsession with coming back here and rambling ad nauseam about how NK is guaranteed to fail and we’re all a bunch of morons for staying. It’s quite obviously not helpful. It’s also, despite your expert analysis, not likely to happen. Based on many factors liquidation is literally the least likely outcome. Could it happen? Absolutely. In which case I have no doubt you and many others will come back and remind us all how stupid we were. But even if you end up being right, your analysis of the likelihood of it happening will still have been wrong. All of this to say, hey man, give it a rest. Everybody here is already stressed out enough. So in all sincerity I wish you the best with your career, but it’s time for you to move on.
who stayed.
I made the tough decision to leave but can’t imagine being so clueless to think telling current Spirit pilots what they need to do; every pilot has their own reasons and responsibilities at home. Some guys simply can’t do the huge pay cut, it’s huge, and still pay the bills at home.
I freaking hope NK succeeds and gets out of this mess. NK as a product might leave a lot to be desired but the pilots are the best pilots I’ve ever flown with, and I do miss that.
Stay strong boys and don’t mind the trolls.

I'm not "stressed out" at all. I've already been through two furloughs, a company shutdown, been homeless, hungry, and had a car repossessed, all of which happened while I was an airline pilot, so not much scares me anymore. This is the business I've chosen, eyes wide open.
