Spirit Now Sure As It Emerges From Bankruptcy

I don’t have a dog in this fight, but the furlough comment was a low blow. You’re one back quarter away from joining him. Crazier part is that you’ll probably tell other people to not come on here kicking yall when you’re down. How disconnected can you be?

No furloughs at Spirit anytime soon.! Now Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, passed it puts America FIRST with huge tax breaks for hiring U.S. workers. Foreign labor like the E3 visa holders is a losing bet businesses using them miss out big time. Spirit could be ready to ditch those visas for Americans
They're a good group of dudes from what I've seen, but that is something that should have never happened to begin with IMO. Like a lot of things that happened over the last four years...

maybe I wish I had stayed and that’s what keeps me coming back to this forum. Maybe it’s because the AA forum is depressing as hell 🤷♂️

News flash sweetheart, I don’t work here anymore. I wish all the best for the guys and gals at Spirit. But hoping for the Australians to have their visa’s cancelled is a pretty low blow too. I was lucky enough to meet quite a few of them and they’re an awesome group.

Absolutely true and I’m sure they knew the risks at the time. But calling for it to happen to benefit yourself is not an attitude of someone I’d like to work alongside.

recall rights for a period ten (10) years.
5. Pilots shall continue to accrue longevity for pay purposes for
up to one year while on furlough.
No, they are not brought back as new hires on new hire pay
(guys that took a voluntary furlough at year 5 pay when called back after more than a year will be called back at year 6 pay, first year furloughed should get year 2 pay)
Edit to add: based on CBA, have no info on added LOAs since I left a year ago.

Thats a shame you wouldn’t wanna fly with me, I’ve heard you’re one of the best pilots ever
I don’t have anything against the Australians, but since their visas are temporary and need renewals, I don’t like the idea of spirit renewing Temporary foreigners work visas meanwhile American citizens could be recalled. At my old regional, we had the E3s, they had seniority in our contract, it also stated while on the visas they’d be the first ones furloughed.

The Aussies are good people. Good aviators too. No ill will, but Americans come first
