scoop what up? The moment the aircraft leases hit the market those planes are gone to other countries. The planes we own are old CEO’s. The training center? F9 won’t buy that. Gates? They don’t generally get sold in a sale. Pilots? Gone. Routes? Maybe. All the brand new trucks and side by sides and GSE stuff we just bought? Pennies on the dollar.

what do we have to sell under Ch7? A bunch of old iPads.

we are only worth more dead than alive to the big 3 and the meddling in the original f9 merger proves that.

the moment the company wants to up gauge block hours the will tank the operation. We have another 60 planes (net growth) coming by end of 2026.

My guess is we start hiring in September or October.

I am curious what the meetings behind closed doors look like right now. My guess by end of year, but like everyone said… who knows. I also wonder what the combined company total airplanes/pilots they would want to target would be as well.
I have heard that as well. Possible as Allegiant is even lower than that.

Im not sure if that was a mistype or??? but the net growth is nowhere near that at Frontier. We have 13 deliveries remaining this year and 23 next year. Total 36 excluding any retirements.

I would expect oct. but it all depends on how many block hours they run. Tariff game could be starting up again so who knows?

I certainly have no idea there.

Think G4 at one point had about 8/plane if I remember. But those were owned cheap (and clapped out) MD80s, and they only flew a few days a week. NK made a good profit with 17/plane because every plane was used all day long. Never understood why NK based the cockpit prep on cold&dark or why they had a termination checklist for the first few years there. Guess it works till it doesn't.

yup, i got numbers mixed up, typed up when i was busy. At 191 airplanes - 14 per plane that would put us around 2600-2700 pilots. 12.5 would put us at 2300-2400.

if we keep 14 per plane I think hiring will resume this year. If they decide to try to drop pilot to plane ratio hiring probably won’t start until 2026.

also, no one except actual decision makers at airlines having any clue on what the future holds at these companies. No middle management has any better idea of a merger of liquidation than we do. So yah, we are all fools reading tea leaves.

Spirit has 195 now and will have 196 year end. No deliveries in 26/27.

Currently about 40 parked for engine issues and that number parked will remain the same through the end of 2026 as they rotate all the engines through the shop, then in 27 start to return back to normal.

So really need to base the next years pilot requirements on 150-155 airplanes.

Attrition will pick up end of August through the fall, and probably beginning of next year.. May help.

Everyone’s saying big financial decisions at spirit soon. From a maintenance guy the new cabin configuration isn’t being installed on all Aircraft, Possibly more Aircraft sales ?

That and if we are to reduce the pilot/aircraft ratio we could be at 2000 pilots this time next year

this is borrowing wayyyy more fear and scare than necessary. We already knew they weren’t doing the retro fit on all the aircraft yet. But it you watch the town halll there’s a reason why. Go watch it and see, and not to do with selling more planes. Just sit back and take it as they come instead of making up stuff that no body knows

Where is the 195 total aircraft number coming from? Is that after the sale of 23 older A320s?
