Every single person that left was one more FO that didn’t get furloughed. Every CA that left was one more CA that didn’t get downgraded to FO. You ought to be very grateful to those you are calling ‘scum.’ And if they guessed wrong, they’ll be the ones paying the price in any event.

Eastern went BK and was a much larger airline than Spirit. They were the largest airline domestically in the US for total enplanements less than 6 years before they shut down and 3rd largest behind United and Delta. Obviously not that large when they closed their doors because they started shrinking, but a lot of pilots there said the same thing about going out of business. Same at PanAm.
If guys wanna run that strategy, why not have apps out and run back up strategy, especially with Legacies being 9-12 months from application to class date right now.

Don’t you?

Poor ole ULCC pilots (I guess this is a limitation on our ATP?) walking around wishing they were REAL pilots. Maybe you could teach us all how to be a better stick up there. And we’ll teach you a little bit about modesty and personal character. Deal?
Spoken like someone that went to a few Delta Job Fairs but never got a call.

And you are correct, air travel has grown significantly since1990 and the number of airlines has shrunk drastically which hasn’t worked out great for the consumer. If we had 20 some odd airplanes like Silver I’d say yea sure we probably wouldn’t survive. But 200? I’m not so sure. Which is why I believe worst case is we have to end up merging with Frontier but hopefully someone better.
But of those 192 airlplanes, only 72 of them are problem free CEO's, and those are highly highly leveraged birds or leases. The other 130 ish planes are the infected NEO's, the ones that NO AIRLINE wants.

I can’t imagine letting an entire airline and an entire group of pilots live so rent free in my head. American is all you can think about. That’s cause deep down inside, you know you should have left a long, long time ago. But fear got the best of you. So now you look for data in every negative American Airlines article trying to justify your decision to stay. And after NK unfortunately liquidates, and you are working as a Western Global Direct Entry MD11 Captain, you’ll look out and see a 737 with a big American flag on its tail coming in for landing, all you will be able to think about is if Clarance Thomas is in the left seat of that bird or not.

Im pretty confident the govt is not going to step in and save this place and not a single person will miss us if we’re gone. The DOJ was just playing games with our lives and that dumbass of a judge believed their nonsense.
