Two types of people... one side loves a very polished speech, values intentions, and the results don't really matter nearly as much as long as the intentions were pure or correct. The other side pays attention to the final score and couldn't care less about speeches or stated intentions.
Sadly, many people would rather look/feel good and lose vs. not look/feel good but win. To each their own, I guess...

But there is such a thing as legit "New Media", and while I was definitely late to the party I did eventually figure it out.
The downside to that is little to no system of processes to ensure journalistic accuracy and integrity. But unfortunately most of established media abandoned such concepts years ago in favor of top-down driven agenda.
The upside is that *some* of the ndew media are doing the real, necessary journalism that the mainstream media largely abdicated.
You just need to exercise Caveat Emptor in choosing your providers (that's true for mainstream as well).
