A difference of 1 hour. You guys and girls are certainly cheap dates.

I hope contact negotiations last until my retirement date so I don't have to read what other perks you trade away for pennies and suffer the consequences.

I need a beer...

Can you quote me the CBA and show me which work rule did we end up trading away by voting yes? What section defined that work rule? I am trying to learn something here before I get my own beer.

Nobody said it was the end of the world. Voting on a two year contract extension may be, though..

The concept you are describing is plain wrong, ManFlex. We are in the process of "taking it back" here, for the sake of our profession. Every airline pilot group out there are making gains in their contracts, rightly so. We will make significant gains, too.

Listen I have a newborn. I KNOW.

Btw I voted no because of the staffing concession but group has spoken and I'm fine with that until I've been here 10+ years and they vote wrong. When that happens I'm making stickers and am going to complain all trip every trip about something that happened 5 years ago.

I don't think you guys are reading what I'm actually writing. I am willing to fight the good fight and I can financially weather a prolonged strike. We deserve and should fight for a great CBA. I just don't believe for a second that management, without condition, is going to offer us a 34% pay raise and allow everything else to stay status quo. Oh, and offer this sometime in 2015 or 2016. Guys hoping for this or even believing this is likely are going to be disappointed (not to mention more than rates need fixing). Our gains will be made in section 6. Look at your ID badge and refresh your memory as to which management team you work for. No Richard Anderson or Herb Kelleher here. Sorry.

We shouldn't and we don't have to give anything up. We will make real substantive gains in section 6. The 'quick 34% raise and current book' is nothing more than a rumor and some people's wishful thinking. This management will not give us a cent out of the goodness of their hearts. This LOA should serve as an example of that.
