One of my consulting friends in Dallas had always been instructed by their firm to book the cheapest ticket to their assignments. A group of his colleagues booked Spirit for the first time since it was the cheapest, even with bags. The flight home cancelled for some reason; Spirit did the "we can get you out in 4 day" BS so they had to pay walk up on American. Their firm charges by the hour and couldn't have their consultants out of position for 4 days. They are now instructed to pay for the cheapest ticket, except for Spirit, since it cost them extra in the long run. Not good.
That was a few years ago during the "Summer of Love"; fortunately, our operations metrics have improved tremendously, but those are customers we will probably never have again.

The lack of frequency hurts us with business customers, that's true.

Which part do you disagree with? My take on stock investing vs wage earning? My take on how management manages for stock price vs long term viability? Or, my take on labor unrest giving us an advantage?

Can't make a simple swap of a 4 day for a 4 day on 5/3 because it's past 1200edt on 5/1. And the trip I want starts earlier than the one I have. CH you can suck my balls. I'm not even trying to pick up, just swap on the same exact days. Suck my balls CH!
Yeah, her whining and crying about open time really did some damage to our qol. But, she don't care as long as she got hers and she still being taken care of by the schedulers. Screw her, I got her on my no fly list.

How can you possibly say that wealth has nothing to do with a profitable operation anymore when the profitable operation is the direct cause by which the stock rises and creates said wealth.
Right or wrong, have a look at a 9-10% stock decline 48 hours ago, that had everything to do with current and near future profitability of the operation. Even labor negotiations, unless they go to some really extreme measure, are just a blip on the radar compared to the financial sheet when putting a value on a stock when having a look at the macro level. If the opposite was true airlines such as US Airways would have been worth 50c per share and not buying up far larger carriers.
This does not go only for Spirit, but every OA as well.
