Spirit of NKS
I have no interest in flying some ER version of the 321 neo with belly tanks..
Not to say that NK may one day decide to service Brazil or Chile but always be prepared CBA wise.
One day SWA is flying -300s to El Paso which to some may seem south of the border, and next they have ETOPS -800's going deep Caribbean. Did their contract cover that?

That 6 hour flight in the middle of the night from Lima is the exception. I just don't want to do the long international flights.

It's fine if you want to try and bid around that kind of flying but let's not shoot for a CBA like we are some little florida airline doing Orlando turns. What the company chooses as their business model, route structure, or fleet plan is out of our control but we need a contract that foresees the possible future even if it doesn't come to fruition.
Not sure what you think they plan on doing with the NEOs. Those things will fly 8hrs straight.

THats what I'm sayin'. I may not prefer the long international flights, but if we're going to be packing in the pax on our 321s that other airlines pack in on their 757s, we need to have pay rates that reflect that. Pay rates that reflect the fact that we are a mature, very profitable and growing airline. I'm no fool to think we're going to be rolling in American pay rates, but we better be awfully close.

What happens when they say "no"?, we throw a tantrum, kick and scream, effing NC, effing Mec, effing mgmt. 5 more years go by the make a killing, we loose more money. I believe we ALL know by now that to get those pay rates we have to sell our first born (4 days off).

I don't understand why you think you shouldn't be paid American rates?
Your a pilot right? Does American fly a 321? Does Spirit? Are both airlines turning a profit?
