Its a bunch of BS, but they did it this way when I was recalled in Dec. They essentially ran a Vacancy Bid that RESULTED in your recall, and so the recalled pilots are only offered vacancies that result from the original bid. Im still not sure why they cant run the bid in conjunction with the 12 recalled pilots so that you could exercise your seniority and end up where you want...well im sure they could if they wanted to.

Yeah, they probably could have. I would like to believe that they figured that the F/O's that accepted the first recall had enough of displacements. We were recalled into SJU or ACY...then SJU closed and we were displaced to ACY... Few were able to go to FLL and almost all of us live in there. We "paid our dues", so time for the next batch to "suffer" a little... Operationally, I believe they want the F/O's that are current and up to speed to be in FLL, where the flying is more "challenging". ACY is a cakewalk... Just my late night theories.
I'm just happy I'm going back.... had enough of unemployment, SJU and ACY.

Best to all and welcome back....

Yes, those 25 were given their longevity and came back at 2nd year pay. Hope that still holds true and it's given to those returning this time.

CBA CH. 23, B, 2...
A furloughed pilot shall retain and accrue seniority and have recall rights for a period of seven (7) years.

I suggest the next time you have a "late night theory", you keep it to yourself.
