If they decide it will save them money then they will open a base and staff it with new hires who don't have a choice. Personally, if I was a new hire and lived in the northeast and had a choice of LAS or ACY, LAS hands down.

As far as I know calls go out a few times a week and interviews are usually scheduled for a Monday or Tuesday. They give you 2 or 3 weeks to get ready for the interview and tend to give you a few dates to choose from.

How long would one expect to be in ACY (or other junior assigned base) before getting FLL?
I understand this may be changing with the new bases.
Would anyone care to predict how popular the ORD or LAS bases may be?
I have pledged to my family to NEVER commute again.
Commutting for 15 plus years, took a great toll in our family life.
My suggestion to married folks, is to avoid it as much as possible.
It is, in my humble opinion, the main downside of our other wise glorious profession.
Having gone through both, furlough and bankruptcy excluded.
