Lines are usually constructed between 72 and 85 hours. You can always pick up open trips at straight pay.

When the company is short on pilots, they will make deals with "Junior Assignments" at 200% pay, and credits soar to 150+. Our union doesn't like it when guys do that more than 5 times a year. 90% of our pilots would like to do it 5 times a month +, so there is a bit of tension in the ranks.

Overall, a good place to work.

If you asked your hiring questions on the spirit hiring thread, you'd likely get less BS from Spirits disenchanted members. I started a string just to avoid the naysayers. Unfortunately, some senior board members don't like a competing thread regarding Spirit and don't want to answer questions over there. They probably won't be much help after we get hired either.

Black helicopters hover over your trailer, don't they??

Why not start a "please only post the good stuff about NK here" thread. A thread for all pixie dust, puppies, and unicorns. For those that want reality, read the good, bad and ugly.

BTW, I don't think there is anyone that wouldn't respond just because its a different thread.

(to Ghetto-bird: THIS is an appropriately harsh response)

Completely disagree with you, this thread was created to get information on current events, new hire crxxp, and future stuff. Just like ram says you will get everything short of censored lexicon.

On the other hand your attitude tells me that you will probably be a needy FO or a CA flying missions instead of turns. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Soon you are going to want to change things your way, (uniforms, inside joke), then climb the union or mngmt latter, and just go around telling people how you made it better for us....Watch what you say around here, this isn't Delta with a bunch of naval aviators eating foie gras.

Just saying, some of the best info you will get from our senior guys that have been here for a while, even when they don't satisfied the fantasy of your aviation career.

Cheers. And welcome if you are in.

Whelp, as far as I can tell, everyone I've met so far at Spirit seems like they would be an absolute blast to fly with. I am sure, like every airline, they're are a few bad ones, but so far they all seem like killer guys/girls

Does anyone have a subscription to the South Florida Business Journal?

Expansion in the air for Spirit Airlines - South Florida Business Journal

BBB is asked questions regarding flights to Brazil. Curious to see what he says.

YES! That's correct....for the most part, it's a good bunch. But, we're not without our 'minority' as well.
