While in crew room, someone mentioned RD stated - during a ground school meeting - additional 10 A321's were acquired due to debunk oversea airline. No delivery date mentioned. Can anyone confirm?

I heard the same from a different source. Also I hear there is a new ftd coming and once it's online hiring will increase to 36/month. However, it sounds like training is getting backed up due to lack of check airmen so I'm not sure they could pull off increased hiring.

Yes it's true. I can't be specific but all I will say is we are getting 20 aircraft deliveries in 2017. Yep, 20! The airline in question is Alitalia.
