Spirit Airlines To Begin Service At MIA, Becoming Airport's Second Largest Carrier - exMiami
WOW!! Well, I guess it was only a matter of time. Way too much LCC competition in FLL, none in MIA, and we seem to do just fine up against AA in DFW.

I just read an article that stated American was being smart and basically just letting us do our thing, being they can't compete with our price.....

Wonder if this was the plan all along and thats why they didnt fight for the new gates in the new terminal 4? What may suck is if turns into something like UAL and DAL having a "NYC" base that covers all 3 airports. Now a "South FL" based pilot is responsible for both. Sucks for commuters if so.

10 more A320 orders have been converted to A321s. 40 total A321s to come.

If true...
24-10
J. Co-Domiciles
1. Co-domiciles means two or more airports served by pilots within the same domicile provided that any of the airports are no more than 50 statute driving miles distance from the primary domicile and no two airports are more than 75 statute driving miles distance from each other.
26.6 miles
There are some protections but this would make life as a commuter almost impossible without out a car. Not that doing it without your own transportation is easy anyway, just sayin.
