High density seating Spirit style is fine for 2-3 hour flights. Wont work on a 7-8 hour leg. Not to mention the increases cost of adding another type, intl training, ETOPS, crew/employee cost increases, etc. Just my opinion...I dont think you will ever see it here, and if you do, it'll be a mistake.

You may be right. Someone will do it successfully in North America. I'd rather see it be us than Norwegian, but it will be done eventually. Maybe B6 or WN will beat us to it. Make flights cheap enough, be it 1 hour or 10 hours, and you will fill the plane.

Central-South America doesn't require etops. But I tend to agree that it may not work with our motto. Who knows, I don't know what our guys are planing in 5 yrs.

AND Central-South Americans don't require leg room. Their feet don't touch the floor as it is (for the most part).

I would give up four days off in exchange for five days off and deletion of the phrase "max extent possible."

+1

"Max extent possible" works as well as "best effort" or "If available".

The LCC model has dominated for years the short and medium haul flights. The future war has started already for long haul flights. Norwegian Air is the prime example. Ryan Air is said to be trailing behind. Air Asia, Cebu Airlines, Jet Star all started already in Asia. They are all making $$$. I think we could do really well if we launched from South Florida deep into South America. Ooo and Cebu Airlines use the 330 with - get that - a capacity of 436 seats!!!

We should implement a passenger high restriction, like the amusement park rides!
