Far too many clowns around here bending over backward to help this scumbag mgmt team. Management doesn't give a crap about anything other than their bonuses. That said, I now have zero f's to give about anything here other than doing my job..and only my job.

No help, no favors!
True. But, I'm sure there are a lot of guys here ripping on people for flying the contract THEY VOTED IN! Pay rates, junior man, first year pay (which is less now).

Lets not try and conflate the two; those that were here for the contract vote and those who dont like people helping the company while we are being told we are crap by the company.

This contract was already in full force when I started here, and I clearly do not have the same anger that you do towards those who were here. As Cruise said, totally different bargaining environment.

And I think you nailed the point, perhaps unintentionally, above. Too many pilots are acting in their own self interests and not in the interests of the entire group.

Get mad at Ram, he voted in the contract and he loves when people give him a hard time about it.

Now, of course, the right like to tout the ACA as a failure, but that ignores the facts proving otherwise. That said, I'm definitely not interested in having this thread devolve into a political discussion...no good will come of that.

You are delusional. The dems had the house, senate, and presidency. No "kowtowing" was done or was necessary. No input from republicans and of course, not a single republican vote. Take your revisionist history someplace else.

So any way, I would strongly recommend that anyone interested in working at Spirit take a long hard look before coming here. I'm flying with a new FO who said that once he started training, he really questioned if he made the right choice. We are so disorganized. The hotel transportation was nonexistent so they ended up paying for the ride, on traing pay no less. The company representatives from hr didn't show up to tell people about benefits. I could go on and on. It's just unbelievable! The company is run so cheaply that there's barely any support staff. It's pretty much a self service company. If you need something, you figure it out on your own because no one answers emails, if your email works, and no one returns phone calls, and you can't leave a message because their voice mailbox is full. I am quite amazed that we operate at the level we do given the support we get from the company. Now let's talk about our contract negotiations. The company has made it quite clear that they will not be negotiating in good faith. They will try to drag this out for at least 2-3 more years, or more. It's going to be a very long road.

At the end of the 2-3 yrs, don't expect anything more than 10-20% pay raise.

Why would you try lower expectations? That's management's job. At this point it's close to 100% for many lingevities.

Seeing as that this a hiring thread maybe you are trying to influence new hires but a 30% increase wouldn't even get to a vote
