Spirit of NKS, Part II

From what I was told, they were both selling a similar message, that there's definitely more money, maybe a lot more money, but the ALPA counter can not include conflict pay protection. Apparently Bendo also said they had been $46 mil apart, they kicked in $23 mil more to narrow the gap, then the UA AIP came out and our ask went up. Perhaps he was ****ed that it went up after numbers had already been proposed, and possibly why they countered low. (Just speculation on my part) Also something about super strong merger protection language that they agreed to, I didn't get much detail on that.
Just passing along what I heard.
As for the February upgrade projections, possibly due to the Neo delays, but also Feb 2015 slowed to 4 upgrades. Doesn't seem like reason for alarm.

No one is advocating bringing down the top end. We just want it more linear. We also want the top to be 12 years and not 15. If I was going into my 12th year I would be livid. Why wait to 15 to get what you should have gotten at 12? I think the top end dos +4 are just dandy if they are year 12 and at DOS instead.
Yes there are no 3 year captains at the legacies but those days are coming to an abrupt end here at spirit and only beginning at the legacies. I guarantee by the time our next contract becomes amendable again there will be 3yr narrow body captains and they will be making over $200/hr with a 16% DC.
Thanks to those that are calling bull**** on our "amazing" qol to the legacies. It's a myth! To the guy that brought up line purity- THANK YOU!!! I've never seen any airline that bids hard lines have the ridiculous mismash of trips put on a single line.
I'm so glad that people are finally waking up and seeing this stuff. I'm proud to work with you gentlemen. The last 5-10 pages have at least given me some hope. Our unity is key! It's not senior vs junior, it's professional pay for all and solid work rules. No more justifying gross undercompensation for what really amount to average work rules.

Amen. If we stay united we can get what we ask for. But they aren't going to give it to us. We're gonna have to fight for it.

Rumor has it JS and Bendo visited recurrent classes this week. Possibly doing damage control? Seems they weren't expecting the proposal to be released.

* Current offer plus $23M pre UA = no bueno.
* Bendo put out his podcast several days after the mec put out their offer, at which point he didn't seem aware.
* "super strong" merger protection included is a good thing. It wouldn't have been there had merger been an issue.

Looks like ACY is back to being the revolving door. Bottom 15 are going there. They might actually have to spend a time there before they can get out.
Sorry Chimp, all red days for you ahead!

I would even play a bigger devil's advocate. It seems to me that had transition been the real issue, they would have thrown us a much bigger bone than they did. Ergo, either transition is not the issue or...

Better just say it now!
Matyus won't get it done short of a strike. Does anyone have a valid reason to convince me he can get a deal?
The NMB ain't likely to approve a strike anytime soon. The senior guys will live sorta good, but for everyone else, the next 2 to 3 years will be stagnant as far as income goes. Ain't life grand?
