***? Why is it every time I fly I hear stories from pilots and fas about them getting shorted by crew pay? Every trip I'm hearing how crew pay has shorted someone and they need to go back to get their money owed to them. How has this company stayed in business so long? The incompetence in this place is absolutely astounding.

This . We all wonder and don't want to find out. New airplanes, iPads, online ground school, new sims, smart phones, podcasts (&#128079, More websites, fail websites, blah blah, and we MANUALLY audit payroll for 1200 pilots and however many FAs and it's always wrong.

It's probably part of the business model. Every nickel they owe, and don't pay...is another nickel in their coffers. Guaranteed many are not keeping track of their pay as closely as they probably should be. So, while some might call them out and get what's actually owed...many aren't and that's pure profit for the company...and the singular thing they care about.

I tend to agree with you. Although there are legitimate gripes, even those at the highest paid/compensated airlines still *****.

Mine is down to the minute correct 99% of the time. The audit sheet is often hard to break down but I only care that the credit number at the end matches the one I maintain throughout the month and it does. If it doesn't, breaking down the audit sheet can be confusing but makes sense if you keep good records.

Ditto. I keep a memo on my phone with a running total of credit and breakdown of every single trade, drop and super-secret-under-the-table-members-only sweet deal I make.

I've had a few big errors; enough to make my years of keeping a watchful eye worthwhile.

The one they seem to miss most often is the 4 hours OT for blocking in past 2 am on your last day (assuming you have the following day off). Every time I've had this happen, they've left it off my paycheck and I've had to email crew pay to get it corrected. They also left international override off one of my recent pay checks so make sure you're tracking that as well. In all, they seem to get it right about 90% of the time but there is simply no reason we should still be doing manual pay audits at this point.

Speaking of pay credit. How much is a 5 day ground training worth.
Day 1 DH only with 23 hour overnight
Day 2 Ground School
Day 3 Ground School
Day 4 Ground School
Day 5 DH only

Flica says it's worth 27. Pay comp says it's worth 22.5 messed a few days up this month do to an improper code by crewplan.
