I think the point the OP was making was that if lower wages are part of "the business plan" then that should apply to upper management as well. Since they pay industry standard at the that level, they can pay standard at ours.

I'd say the thing that makes them worth better than average is the fact they get us to work for lower than average.

Second of all, NK 2015 fourth quarter earnings report isn't available yet.

Third, I believe you're comparing DL net margins to NK operating margins.

Fourth, if you're going to use a profit metric to justify compensation. 3rd quarter 2015, DL had an operating income of 2.2B/12,900 pilots. UA 1.9B/12500 SWA 1.2B/7900 NK 157M/1300 Allegiant 77M/657 VA 74M/630 JB 351M/3200

One can argue for third quarter 2015, DAL generates 171K/pilot, UA 152K, SWA 152K, NK 121K, ALGT 117K, VA 117K, JB 109K

Food for thought.
Added JB...

And DL very similar to UA and AA.

I believe every one of those are currently in negotiations.

You know what? F this. Let the company rot. If they don't want to pay, then let em die.

Because it's still APC. Not SPC.

I said user name, not a real name. I only have this one user name here and post under it. Some people create a second user name in order to troll and so something which they otherwise wouldn't do under their original user name. In the past they have been busted using some kinda IPO trace (or whatever that's called). Vinny bog o donuts or whatever he is just started Jan 2016 and of his 4 posts, 2 are cheap shots and all are only in the NK thread. My implication was he has another user name here (screen name).

Don't forget with all this talk about how much we make, the ALPA lawyer said a mediator won't really take that into account. The transcript said for "above industry pay", but imagine that the company would try to argue the exact way.

It's not misleading at all. It was simple. Our last four upgrades were hired in Jan/Feb of 2014. Just because I didn't know that you wanted to hear the upgrade time at some base of some guy you know?

I think his point is that NYC RSV is not very desirable, hence the short upgrade.

Either way, it's great news for the Delta pilots.

Hopefully this momentum will continue for everyone at all the airlines. Pilots for pilots first, pilots for company second.

Hopefully, but the economy is starting to falter and despite the hiring and expansion, the airlines will not be immune. They never are.
