I don't care if Spirit was a Sh-thole airline that flew prisoners around in the late 90s. That's no longer the case.

JESUS H CHRIST, we are leading the Industry with our profits & growth. NO REASON to settle
You'll have to type more words for a slow mind like me. What point are you trying to make with your first paragraph.

As for your last sentence, no one is asking you to settle. I'm just saying the end result of this whole process will not look anything close to the big 3 rates at the time of signing.

Management, board, all the same. The point being the people who run this airline can pay industry standard wages, but will they?

BTW, the CEO is just about always on the BOD, many times other executive officers or former CEOs as well. Even if that's not the case. Your statement is more false than true AND you're assuming the board will be in disagreement with the way the execs are handling it's affairs.

Hey, thanks for your business 101 lesson. Bob, Bendo and Jyri are ready to write checks as we speak! The board has all the power and tells the CEO how much money they can spend on said contract..

You all fly the same equipment. Have the highest profit margin in the industry.
The pay rate being the same as the legacys would be a no brainer. And in my mind is easy compared to the rest of a contract/productivity with a major.
Good luck!

I don't understand why people care so much about an airline they don't work for. Can someone explain it to me? I'm upset that ALPA doesn't give a crap about several of their union members making so much less than others. "It's the same job, it should pay about the same for any union member." Why are people on each other so much about making more. If ALPA actually stood together and supported each airline the same this would be a far better job across the board, Delta, United, Virgin, Spirit, Jetblue, should all be the same rates. I have always seen it as a failure on ALPAs part. Don't even get started on the disparity for our friends at the regionals.
