You so are right. Ackerman is the biggest hypocritical POS out there. Down in Miramar all the time feathering his bed. He was supposed to fire these loser negotiators but didnt have the balls to do it. Now where are we? Contract 2020 if we are lucky.

Vegas, I'm guessing you're a 2.5 year upgrade. Life must be hard... If I'm right you have some serious entitlement issues. I hope you don't whine about money to the first year FO and even worse the FA's like I've seen a few times here. That's a really douchey thing to do

I'm not saying we aren't worth what our peers make, but all this whining and chest pumping isn't going to change anything. Its just sad. You want to change something? fly the contract, stop taking shots at our union leadership, unify behind the union, and start saving for a strike. That's about all us line pilots can do. In the mean time make the best of it or leave. Everyone has a choice.

Bahahahahahahaha

Bring back meatballs!

Ugh you guys are idiots and whiny girly men. I'm just a line pilot like y'all. Not Ackerman in disguise

Can y'all man up and leave already so others can take over this board and post something funny?

What's with the contract 2020 thing? Is that supposed to be funny? Nothing about what y'all post is funny. All depressing BS misinformation. Totally worthless thread we have going here

Look at our paychecks, that should be funny enough.

Although we're properly staffed, they called me on vacation for a junior man and I'm top ten seniority in base. Sounds fishy.

Of course, the most often seen example is the continual begging for paperwork.

Those areas of operation only belong to pilots on the last leg home in order to catch a commute.
An arbitrator, mediator, board of directors, or the other side of the negotiation table is not going to give a rat's ass about how much you CLAIM you compensate for management's CLAIMED lack of operating our REVENUE machine. Until we all begin to SUBSTANTIATE our CLAIM of performing a wider job scope than those airlines who have functional operational SOP's....its just us WANTING more money.

If you're all responsible for operating your aircraft responsibly, thinking ahead, and being responsible for successful outcomes of each flight, why not apply that serious attentive ownership to your actions as a union member.
We need to calmly, with deliberation and purpose, DOCUMENT and FLOOD the system with emails (tracking/log/union database/any tool) EXACTLY what we do that is more than legacies, to DEFEND our worth. Using Bendo's/Jyri's/CEO's emails would additionally demonstrate their LACK of involvement in our operations, as they will have had 1000's of course correction indicators to steer the operation back on course, for which we have copious amounts of evidence they will NEVER achieve.

When we pilots, by some evidence trail, can be demonstrated to be THE VARIABLE which, if stopped, was DIRECTLY responsible for daily success of this company, then all of your valid complaining, anxiety, uncertainty, FEAR, could actually be translated into a USEFUL act of trying to do something to help our union negotiate something better for ourselves. Review back over this forum....there's troves of claiming our worth and desire to receive the compensation you THINK you're worth...the point however is to DEFEND it. Evidence is the ONLY thing to which anyone is going to listen.

It's a simple scientific path...measure the result (dependent variable=shoddy operational performance) change one of the variables involved in producing the result (independent variable), and then draw the relationship between the controlling variable (pilot's high quality performance, care, accountability, course correction skill) and the outcome of daily operations. When we stop going above and beyond, and the place melts down, THEY will NOT be able to DEFEND that we are NOT responsible for our product's success, when such a clear correlation is demonstrated.

Like our parents said...it never hurts to want. It's time to take all this forum whining into something useful. If all of you are man enough to type away and safely pontificate and critique on a screen, put your money where your keyboard is and get out there and be involved in getting you your precious contract improvements.

May I suggest that a better course of action would be to JUST STOP DOING OTHER PEOPLES JOBS!

Your plan, think carefully about what you propose, your plan accepts responsibility for doing all of those other jobs. What will you accept next, a cleaners job?
