To be fair, I believe on one of the conference calls, the union admitted to essentially moving the goal posts once the Delta, United & Southwest rates were known. I'm actually glad they moved their targets, we should not be negotiating in a vacuum.

I agree. It's just every day without A contract our "ask" should also be going up. Eventually we get to a point (1,2,3, 10 years etc) where we will never be able to make up for lost time

Spot on, well said!

Oh I agree with you, and I've heard as much from two different chairs. If the company were smart, they would have dangled something small like JetBlue on dos with only minor tweaking to transition, I'd bet money 51% would've voted yes to that last spring. They would've had us locked in for cheap compared to everyone... That ship has sailed, and the cost of business is going up as each new contract at other airlines is ratified. Good luck to them arguing before a mediator why their last proposal is justified.

Simple. They don't have to. They can bargain now, in the best pilot bargaining environment in modern history, while they can placating our NC to allow them to eat up our FPL bank(or they can stall). It costs nothing to allow an intern to "meet" with the NC, three guys on $185*4.5*X days to bring numbers back to management. The Tom Smykowski gambit.

Can it be done sooner? Heck yeah, but why?
RLA rules y'all!

Congratulations to all here! You are all SO important and necessary that the RLA insists that you come to work.

I just hope most didn't undervalue themselves on the survey.

Fellow pilots, unless we all accept the fact MANAGEMENT THINKS NOTHING OF US, unify and support each other, it will be a very long road to a TA.. What is it 9 years or so since 2007 the FAs have been fighting for one..

THEY(management) are not our friends, THEY do not care for fair compensation, so why do we continue to help THEM out???

Was thinking exactly the same thing as I was reading Jyri's latest email.

Until I see a reasonable contract, his last email is purely theoretical.
