Just read that for the new job fairs, Spirit will no longer require the 500 TPIC for the job fair.

"2000 TT. No TPIC required for the job fair."

So the company went from 4000TT and 500hrs pt135/121 PIC a few months back, to 2000TT flat.

The winds of the labor market are being caught in our sails. Let's just wait it out.

It would be more effective if they advertised what they really mean.
"We can't get anyone to come here so we've lowered our minimums! DUI or multiple check ride challenges? No problem! Think you're not worth very much? Welcome to your first class career! It's better than your regional! GED preferred "

Classic! Couldn't have said it better. Plus free HIGH FIVES and free Spirit Swag.....oh wait, that was paid for by us, one way or another!

Just because I have two DUI's, three failed checkrides, and an arrest involving 2 ferrets, 1 kitten, and a flying squirrel, doesn't mean I can't be trained to fly an Airbus!

They haven't called me with 6000+ hours. Clean record, multipl turbojets, no fails, no criminal, two senior recommendations, etc....
Nothing

Consider yourself thankful.

Also, I dont appreciate guys like you wanting to come here who feel guys like me should be super thankful to "just have a job". On the F9 threads you basically call me greedy because I feel we are horrendously underpaid and you refuse to accept legacies as our "peers".

Yes I knew the pay when I started but our contract is now amendable and management has no interest in getting us a new one

Oh yeah. You have no idea what your talking about. You need to be grateful the industry is where it's at today and you have the position you do.

What do I know with 3 furloughs from three carriers and one a major.
I worked at Spirit BTW. When they did pay 50% less with 8 MD-80s.

You never answered the question on the other thread. WHAT AIRLINE pays 50% more than Spirit on the A-320.

With all due respect, I'm sorry your career has been a rough ride but I can't let that sway how I feel. I was a regional F/O for 9 years, never made over 40k, doesn't mean I should be thankful I'm a CA here.
