Lots of red eyes out of LAS, but also keep hearing of (many) guys pulling in 200+ hours a month no sweat. On a regular basis.

Can someone tell me if there's a handbook or guide somewhere that tells these heroes how to subvert the contract for 125+ hours EVERY month? Are there code words they use with the schedulers? "Wink, Wink...Nudge Nudge?" Since cutting in front of those legitimately entitled to JRM's is obviously d**ch baggery at its finest...there MUST be some other way they are crediting these stratospheric numbers. These are honorable folks, right? It would just save a lot of time for the new guys who are coming on board if it was out in the open. How do you fellas do it? Please share!

Say you have a line that's 75 hrs, you take a JM that's 20 hrs. x 2. You're already 115 hrs for the month. Get them to drop the following trip (paid protected). It helps if you live in base. It's very rare that I take any JM calls since I commute, and never find a day where i'm just sitting around doing nothing and can just accept a JM trip. Some guys will call CS right away, when they get a Flica alert, and try to get move up pay, with a trip or reserve days drop.

Sounds like NK should make scheduling transparency a priority in the contract discussions. At most airlines (legacies) you can see exactly who was awarded what by scheduling so you can police it by crying foul when scheduling bypasses your opportunity for whatever reason.

Most are only concerned about themselves. Don't care about the fact they're bailing out the company and don't care for a TA and the fact that they make miserably low hourly pay! Selfish Fracktards!

You would be called a lesbian hater and a socialist if you called for transperancy at NK. The Latinos and Lesbos have FB pages dedicated to picking up and swapping trips amongst eachother. All part of contract 2020. Super fun here. You should apply

Ok, I see, easy as pie! So all I have to do is somehow get a TWENTY hour JRM EVERY month! (which only gets me to 115 hours, not the 200-300 some are gloating about). I'm assuming there's enough of these gold mines floating around that they're available for everyone, every month at any time, and not just a couple of, shall we say "privileged few". So, that's the easy part! But what do I do, after I'm somehow lucky enough to get called for all of these 20 hour JRM's wafting around (offered in the order spelled out in the contract, BTW), when I hit my contractually limited 5 per year? Can't wait to hear...this is GREAT!

As far as the subsequent trip drop with move up goes...what catchphrase or code name do I use with the scheduler to get this little perk? Because I've tried asking before and I didn't get it ...and to hit the 115+ EVERY month i'm guessing it has to work EVERY time. Should I make slurping sounds in the phone like I'm sucking a teat? WHAT'S THE SECRET?!!!

Thanks for the info! This is great...I'm gonna be RICH!...plus as a bonus I get to teach my kid how to subvert contracts! That'll come in handy later in life when he signs a mortgage...or a marriage certificate...cause he'll need to know that as far as screwing your neighbors, spouses or crewmembers...you're not a'scorin' unless you're a'wh*rin'!!!

Take every story with a grain of salt. The 200-300 hour months are probably mostly if not all gone. Yes, we do have a select few that seem to get called for everything. Call your union rep and talk to them. Ask to see the reports. I'd bet most of this bragging is just exaggerated stories that get blown out of proportion after it passes through 10 guys. Yes, we did have guys regularly credit times like that but it was back when we had 400 pilots. If someone does it now they have maybe 8 days off a month.

Either way, talk to a rep if you think it's unfair. I'm not lecturing but coming on here complaining about it, even if you're joking it won't do much. There has been a lot of confusion about scheduling stuff and it wouldn't hurt if the union put out some emails about this stuff. The one that came out last week about relief lines confused me. It used to be relief lines with lower numbers had more trips and higher numbered lines had more RSV. Now they're saying its back to senoriy only. What changed? We still have the same contract. And if something did how? The union needs to make sure the contract is enforced or keep the practice that has been used if it's legal.
