Nice, the senior guy wants the junior guys to fix the problem .............how about we all do our part

Those guys aren't as far off industry rates as the junior guys. They don't have the urgency and anger produced by making 100k less per year than their counterparts. Slope is a travesty and they voted it in full knowing the next generation of "not here yet" pilots would be making a crapload less money than industry.

Yea I knew this coming in but don't expect me to support any TA that doesn't fix it.

Same team guys.

And the senior guys have a $60 disparity plus retirement, LTD, and Scope

A 12 year guy has a $75 shortcoming for apples to apples

I wouldn't say they are not as angry or motivated.

Let's keep our eye on the common enemy and if you're so bent about him calling for paperwork why don't you just ask him why and explain your point. Put your big boy pants on and stop mumbling under your breath while licking the window.

As a counterpoint, I flew with a guy this past week, very senior, who was on the other extreme. We sat like a couple of bumps on a log until the paperwork arrived, ran the apu but it was pretty hot though, taxied in and out on two engines and pretty much took our time everywhere. He was not one of the happy campers, kept going on and on about fixing the slope for the younger guys, how everyone, especially the junior guys are getting a big pile of feces stacked on our head every month we go without a new contract. He was on fire. So not all the senior guys are just about themselves or about just getting theirs, he was pretty fired up for the junior guys.

Just so you can rest Qotsaaautopilot, I did.. also I was not "bent" as you put it. I am not one that sits and wonders why. We had a discussion and then we moved on. Where I came from, the Captain usually sets the tone and leads.

By the way Qotsaautopilot, I have around 14,000 hours flight time under my belt, the last thing I do is "mumble under my breath" or lick a window. I am respectful of the guy in the left seat and know that we are a team.
Maybe you should start asking if I queried him about it, instead of just ASSUMING I mumbled under my breath and licked the window like a little inexperienced kid.

Lol....hope your piloting is better than your motivational speaking.

No you're "#1" just for showing up blue ribbon for you.

Cheers

too bad you couldn't see the pay scale before you accepted the job offer.......the good news for you is a lot of airlines are hiring with higher pay scales and less 'slope'

Easy TC.....

Mr. "we're all on the same team" is an internet warrior who missed the lessons on etiquette from mommy and daddy. I suspect he's a shy little puppy in person who probably seeks counselling to buy a pair of shoes and makes a pro's and con chart on wiping his own a**.

By the way, if you got bent by the paper work caller, you would have loved my mid level, amend the push times- complain about people picking up opentime- who answers the phone 2 days early JA *****- genius. The only good thing is it was easier for me to set the tone as my chi is stronger. A vast majority of the "kids" are easy to lead, especially when you commend them on their landings...Lol

Carry on.....
