Even if it's not the C Series, it shows they are looking at a new aircraft order.
The article says that we are "studying considering" the C-Series. Isn't that like saying we're "engaged to be engaged?" Or that were "looking into looking at" buying a new car? Like the poster said above, I think that's a ploy to get a better deal on more airbii.

This is our leverage guys. His image is on the line now. He really wants us to be on time. I'm sure for a decent contract we can all pull together and make this place on time. But I still hear people calling for Paperwork and fuel. Doesn't everybody realize that hurts our chances at the negotiating table?

No, a "decent contract" is not the goal!

I don't event like our union's stated goal of "industry standard." Industry standard is what Spirit should asking from the NMB in response to our demand for "industry leading."

Sorry, you are correct. I should have phrased that better. We deserve a phenomenal contract for how much money spirit is printing, and bob is making.

Stay with Airbus. However I'm sure bombardier would
Sell them to us for extremely cheap due to the issues they've had and only one real customer stepping up. Bob wants smaller markets with smaller stage lengths and if he can the the C series for cheap it wouldn't surprise me if they made an order in the future. Not to mention C series pay rates would not be huge.. It's would be spirit 'lite' think of JetBlue 190 out of Boston. It doesn't go further south than RDU and further west than AUS.. MKE-MYR.. IND-MCO here we come.. Ha

We take the 190 well south of RDU out of BOS, just ask my back, thanks to that great seat

Watch out fellas. Scheduling just took my conflict for July and swapped it for a red eye turn!

I'm not following. Aren't they allowed to do swaps in the new month?

I've never had this happen. I had a four day followed by a three day. They swapped me into a red eye turn on the first....this is still a conflict correct?

So you had a 4 day to end June and a 3 day to begin July? If so, then yes, they can drop your 3 day in July and place work on the 1st or the 1st and 2nd. So a red eye turn on the 1st is allowed.

Its a conflict and they can clean up the conflict by dropping a red eye in. Im surprised the company does not do more things for conflict cleanup, that is allowed by the CBA. Im assuming they dont have the staffing. I know a lot of pilots had their conflict cleaned with drops in this month, and not July. It seems maybe the company is getting tired of being minus double digit on the first 5 days of the new month and someone finally wised up and suggested they start to drop more from the preceding month

Unfortunately I think it's legal. You're left with a 6 day block, less than 29/7 and pay protected for the 3-day.
