The point is, there is absolutely no reason why our rates can not be in the "ballpark" of legacy airlines. Pilot compensation is a drop in the bucket when it comes to expenses...........

Or .0084/.0013 per seat mile figuring 400 miles per hour.

Give me one good reason why it should matter how many airplanes the company has to determine how we get paid? Even if we had one airplane an Airbus pilot is an Airbus pilot. Stop arguing FOR management.

1. Because that's how it's always been done

Not arguing for management! In fact I agree and would love AA rates, however I wouldn't love an 85 hour cap, no four days off, pbs, no block or better and no cancellation pay.. Not to mention their health care along with the rest including JB's pales in comparison to ours.

Go harass the Sun Country guys and ask why they didn't get SWA 737 rates? Why did their TA pass overwhelmingly?

I don't buy the no cancellation pay. Does anyone have the AA contract?

...and JB's healthcare really does suck balls.

That was under their old contract, as was the 85 hour cap. I believe this was rectified in their current cba. The way cancellation pay would work, you have a 72 hour line (line holder guarantee was 64 hours I think) and let's say you had 10 hours worth of cancellations, you'd get 64 hours.

My friend at AA says the cap remains and same with cancellation pay.. But, he's fairly new..and may be unaware.

Just texted my buddy there, they have cancellation pay, and 85 hour cap is only for reserve pilots, but can credit more.
