Clarion is a bit more quiet than the others and you don't have to walk in the rain and cold to get to the hotel Van.
Clarion does have an option for a late checkout 4 or 5 pm but it is an additional fee (not sure how much).
Hope this helps.
Do you have to call for the $50 rate? Their website is a bit more. Thanks!

734-728-7900 Clarion DTW, just call them and tell them you are airline crew and make your reservation.

I would advise against the Hojo. The other places are worth the extra few dollars. They used to be very accommodating at the Hojo but management has changed and their policies along with it. Go with Americas Best or Clarion.

HoJo is my primary place to stay and I haven't encountered any issues. They've always been super accommodating to me. I'm sure at times it can be lousy just like anywhere. I have no incentive to plug HoJo, just my .02. YMMV

I've stayed at all of the above. It has been a few years but the only one I would never stay at again was the Magnuson. The people were nice there but the place was a dump. Musty, dirty and old.

Did it ever occur to you that maybe our upper management is just bad at their jobs?

There are tax advantages to owning depreciating assets. There are ways to make it look like we make more money than we do this way. Maybe they have run out of the low hanging fruit in terms of cutting costs and are now doing what they can to pump up stock price. This is the opposite of what I would expect for a merger. I would think they would try to depress stock, unless we were going to be the purchaser, not the purchasee. Or not. I still think a merger is in our future. And certainly no one in lower mgmt would know if and when that would happen. The higher ups have a fiduciary duty to not tell anyone the details of something like that.

Did you see the article in the last ALPA magazine? Spirit is not the most profitable U.S. airline. Alaska is...
