I realize you're talking about only mediation but you make it sound like we've only been at this 1 year. That's not the case. I don't recall when Hawaiian contract was amendable.
I'm not sure when Hawaiian's contract was amendable. We could use that comparison if you would like. Anyone know?

I was merely trying to give an apples-to-apples comparison for those people who think we will have a contract in 3 months vs 2020.

Yeah no kidding. The whole negotiating with Gyro was nothing more than a stall tactic.

So they were amendable the month after we were, but they were able to get into mediation 8 months before us. Thanks.

There's no motivation for the company to give us a deal! Junior guys are raking in the MUP with or without RLS, senior guys think $185 an hour is more than enough money and have no clue what the market rate is for a 12 yr not 15 yr CA! Flights are being covered and leaving on time. Regional FOs can't wait to get into that brand new 320 NEO for poverty wages!

Yes and don't forget expressjet is downsizing like crazy right now. All these regional pilots will be inundating spirit with resumes for the next 2 years. Gonna be a slog!

Well, SWA & HAL weren't having staffing issues. They were covering all their flights and had plenty of apps. What's so different.........

Was a rhetorical question. The answer for those that don't know it because our management loathes us

I had a CA tell me the other day that he was already making over 240 and hour. I asked him how he came up with that number. He basically said that this month he was crediting over 95hrs of pay at 185 an hour, but he was only flying 72 hrs. So he said he divides his pay ( 95*185/72) by hours flown. I told him nicely that he was only getting 185 hour, but he didn't agree. This sort of thinking is what I call stinkin thinking.

I was gonna say the answer is Bendo. He's the X factor. He wasn't brought here for his history of being labor friendly
