ENJJPT Syllabus stills has it as a graded item on Transition and Instrument sorties. Usually only taught by the sim guys now.

Flight school update: As a Navy Sim instructor I can tell you that we are still teaching the old "Pencil Method" of Point-to-Point as described above at Whiting Field and Corpus in the T-6/T-34. They now learn it in the BI stage (if any of you Gold Wing guys remember that from Primary)
