Yup. There is even a quiz on the different color tabs where you might find particular information.

Ha! I remember Blue is for approaches! And my teachers said I would never learn!

If you get violated because the company changes the format of charts, or worse, you're a terrible pilot. End of story.

Next time you're heading down that GIBBZ arrival into dulles with a new hire FO, I'm sure you'll be such an ace that you won't even NEED a chart to make all those crossing restrictions.

Meanwhile, maybe us regular pilots have legitimate concerns over a new chart format and it's effect on safety/legality.

You're acting like the chart makes you do a google search to find crossing restrictions. It's just as simple as the Jepp.

In all honesty if you know how to set up the box you don't need a chart to fly the arrival. I don't get what is so GD difficult about taking 2 minutes to figure out a continuous descent, and fly the damn thing the way it's supposed to be done.

It makes all of us look like jack a**es and idiots when people come on here and talk about how hard it is to fly these arrivals. LIDO charts or no charts, new FO or no FO, the arrival is not hard to do.

The biggest problem I had with LIDOs was missing information. We always had a few arrivals that we missing points or restrictions. Hopefully they fixed that.

Anyone heard the new hot line rumor that these are being brought on based on our performance? Something like 25 are going back if we don't meet standards?

It must get old sitting in the crew room thinking up doom and gloom stories. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it was an additional 25-30 that were based on performance.

Who would really want to fly 145 anymore? Plus that's pretty much all regionals. If your performance is bad and you don't own the airplanes, then you run the risk of losing them. That's why I was glad I only sat reserve two months. The rumors get old quick.
