F#%k ALPA and the arrogance. It's time, it's been time.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a figure as high as half to 3/4 of a billion dollars. Would the guys ever see the money? Of course not. That's how our system works. But I will say it may be pretty close to the end of ALPA.
At least. I was guessing in the 1.2 to 1.5 billion range, at max valuation.

How come whenever I have had something bad to say about ALPA, the ALPA supporters go up in arms for me saying something negative about precious ALPA? Where are they now?

As others may have pointed out, this isn't a bombshell out of the blue, but just ANOTHER reaffirmation of what ALPA has really become. AFAIC, they've morphed well beyond simple worthlessness and have demonstrated complete disregard for those they have a duty to represent.

Apparently a neutral source has agreed and thus this verdict. As another said, they apparently settled with the UAL group (my guess, is to avoid obvious self-serving irresponsibility there as well) before any dirty laundry was washed in public and then according to another subsequently isolated their assets.

Perhaps, there isn't anything left to reasonably defend ?

I am hoping that this doesn't mean the oil painting will have to be outsourced to a lower bidder and result in a potentially lower quality rendering.

Who was the person who said pilots from former airlines are a bunch of "whiners"? Well Mr. ALPA, who is "whining" the loudest now?

How many out there think ALPA and/or MEC folks will let the pilots community know they just lost a major lawsuit and are responsible for destroying the lives of thousands of pilots for many years.

How many pilots out there will want ALPA respresenting them when word spreads like wildfire they have been found liable for the same.

Just thinking back to the bankruptcy settlements that were awarded to Comair pilot's and how that was only for a number of months. Take away someones entire career (lost wages, retirement, healthcare, retirement contributions) and I see a really really big number.

ALPA is just like the rest of current corporate America and I think both need a HUGE reality check.

I hope the TWA guys get what they deserve. Unfortunately, ALPA will NOT be able to make up for the hardships, and family problems that were caused by their greed.
