Since reading this report I searched for other documents concerning the TWA pilots lawsuit against ALPA and came across something called "spoilation of evidence". I will try to find the link to it, but if I understand what I read it means ALPA destroyed the evidence the TWA pilots were requesting. Not a lawyer, but it seams if you have a lawsuit against you, then you better keep the evidence or it looks real bad when you destroy it.
I'm not a lawyer either, but I've been a defendant and plaintiff in quite a few business suits. My favorite lawyer always says this: "I can explain away any evidence anyone shows me...I cannot explain away evidence that you've destroyed. If you ever do that, we lose."

Maybe it's just me but why do I get the sense that management played some part in this ?

Unbelievable. I don't see how there could be any result other than the TWA pilots prevailing.

Try reading BOTH sides of the story, Carl, and perhaps you'll understand... I just don't want you to get your hopes up. Of course, as you've stated previously, the ALPA lawyers have never won a case, so I guess there's no chance they'll win this one.

We'll see.

The ALPA lawyers won't be defending themselves, because they are part of the complaint. The lawyers that ALPA hires to defend themselves against this are going to have to be the best...because the evidence is overwhelming.

winner winner, chicken dinner.

Go to the trial. The trial is happening now in camden. Alpa willfully and deliberately destroyed evidence and this fact as well as many other's are coming out in court now in front of a jury.
