When I was hired in mid 1999 the class drops had a "future" A320 MCO base listed. That rumor has been going around at least 18 years!

Yes MCO is going to be a pilot base for United.
It will open just after PHX. PHX is going to be 737/320/787/777, about 3000 pilots total. Announcement soon. As soon as it is fully staffed expect MCO to be announced.
