Yep. The only thing is I think the vast majority are going to bid the 777 and 787. I don't think either fleet has the training capacity to train all those pilots in a timely manner. I wouldn't be surprised if 50-100 pilots sit around for 6-12 months waiting for training. Or take bump rights again.

all depends... if they previously qual'd on the 777/787 the pipeline is much shorter. I don't think this is going to be as big a backlog as people are thinking.

Now HA says there are going to be bumps out of GUM in both seats. Better A/C utilization.

Pretty crappy deal. 7 CA 5 FO? You can't manage to have 12 extra pilots at a domicile?

The senior guys wanted to keep the line values above 115. Reducing headcount was the only option.

I guess only the "other guy" is greedy. Greed is nothing more than economic self-interest. You probably worked hard to live in a nice home - that's economic self interest. When you save your extra money you make to send your kids to college or work an extra day to buy your wife a nice gift for her birthday - that's economic self interest. Some may call you greedy but you are working for economic self interest to make a better life for you and your family.

The April LPA in GUM shows 77 for Captains, 73.5 for FOs. They are fat city now, and after the bumps and the loss of NRT-ICN, they'll still be fat.

I said 115 in jest... I assumed it was a fairly obvious exaggeration for effect. Poking fun at the EWR 777 guy that said it was an unfair pay cut now that the union pulled the waiver for PBS line construction.
