I could see how reserve would be ok living in base but we still lack solid language. Why do line holders get paid extra to work on their day off and reserves get rolled for free? There’s many more big picture things like that. FSB- Why are RSV required to report to the airport in uniform and sit for hours on end for FREE.

As far as FSB and SC assignments your correct it’s no big deal living in base.

BS. I already make decent money. 15% more is close to meaningless if it requires a significant increase in TAFB. I'd happily trade that for QOL. While dollars are great there's far more to life than my W2.

I'd be surprised if a whole slew of reserve maggots didn't agree with me.

Bingo but don't let any of those pesky extensions dissuade you from addressing these concerns. As for FSB, that needs to go ASAP. Unless you get extra compensation for it, they shouldn't be able to assign it.

Personally, I hate SC and FSB, but I realize this isn't a get paid to never work program. Obviously most objections come from those who commute to reserve, and most could be solved by 3 changes imo. Daily credit is worth 5 hours just like a LH. The number of days you work each month depends on the average days worked for LHs in your same category, and the company provides a hotel for all SC assignments. If that happens, reserve becomes almost like flying a trip and you'd likely end up with 15 days off instead of 12. Your MPG would be equivalent to the ALV. Couple more things to make it fair, FSB and SC accrue per diem since you're not cooking at home. For all I care they could do away with the extra mpg for unused SC if I'm in a company paid hotel getting a per diem. Probably cost neutral to the company at that point and improves QoL for us, so a win win.

The direct link was in the email from ALPA, as well as a summary.

If you did not get the email, make sure you have a current email address on file.

ALPA sent you an email about it. Or you can find it at ALPA.org/UAL

I’m curious why certain “enhancements” left 756 pilots out to dry while providing improvements to 777/787 (and the other global fleets in our contract)

Feeling like the red-headed step child we seemed to have become...
