The idea of doing in on your Training month is actually brilliant. Would allow everyone to have different months during the course of their careers.
Maybe give them 13 days off too, plus 74 hrs of pay..

Alas, it will never happen because the senior pilots of Legacy United will never allow such a thing to happen, even if it were to be shown to build unity within the ranks.
Just like we will never see major changes to the sick leave section while one group of pilots has tons of sick time in their banks.
Damn the pilots below!

Motch
Of course all those Legacy CAL senior pilots put unity above all else.

I'm for it. But with retro of course. I need a month of lines on my 777 junior Cap bid for all the years I was on reserve all year. It's a lot of months Probe. And let's retro the pay too. I like how my new hire copilots get paid 70% of what i do as a thirty year captain now. it's great compared to the 17% of Cap pay i got as a new hire. so I need retro. it's about 3.7 million dollars. and then I'll sit reserve for a month once a year to spread things around more fairly..

You mean like all legacy UAL Captains put unity above all else voting out scope and destroying the pensions of retirees?

Or how about the destruction of your Frontier ALPA brothers in 1986?

The range of the 756 fleet will never qualify for an FRMS segment. That's why the 777 and 787.

So it was just Captains that voted for the bankruptcy concessions? Or Delta and NWA writing the feds to deny UAL post 9/11 bailout money. We all live in glass houses.

Point being that Motch threw a turd in the punch bowl for no reason, He could have just left it at senior pilots. But he specifically called out Legacy UAL as the hinderence to unity. A bit ironic no?

Yeah? Well AA also determines priority of non revs by time of check in!!
And you can reserve a JS x days out, first come first serve. No seniority required. F' that.
Seniority. Seniority. Seniority.

I don't know what you think newhire pay is, but it is not 70% of your salary. It's like 25-30%.

I'm sure you don't make 100 bucks an hour.

And no profit sharing for new hires drives the percentage lower.
