Well if those that got "forced" into 756 in EWR need any positive outlook, keep in mind that there were 78 "unfilled" in EWR on the last bid, 22 in SFO and 15 more in LAX. So, there should be many more 756 assignments in the classes behind you (improved seniority), and you should have no trouble with at least getting a SFO or LAX assignment on the next vacancy bid (any day now).

Oh, and also, the plane is awesome!!!

Thanks for the info, feb 12th class here hoping for A320 EWR, in case it’s not offered to my class how long to get it out of any other base? What is the fastest route to EWR line holder avoiding the 737? Thanks in advance.

Just curious, why do you want to avoid the 737? If you want EWR the 737 has some of the best flying in the system and with all the the new planes coming will see faster seniority progression...

I just prefer a comfy flight deck, not really interested in exotic destinations, just a quick line and a cockpit I can look forward coming back to...

Ha!!! I didn't know my LAX-BWI red-eye was considered an exotic destination.

Bid A320 in any base, and most likely you will hold it in EWR before you are done with training.

How often are base moves occurring? Trying to plan for first day indoc and see if it is worth going for airframe first and domicile second. Really want to get LAX for comfort reasons (family out there) versus EWR.

Put a bid in the day you get access to the vacancy bidding screen for the lateral. Then you’ll have to wait until the next bid closes. I wish you luck but no one here can give you an exact time frame. LAX is small in the big scheme and the vacany has to come from need or in base movement to generate the position.
