Pick the airframe first. There are seat locks associated with those. You can lateral base to base as often as you’d like. I’m a bus driver, but LAX guppy is junior, and you have better flying.

Thanks for the info, how often are these vacancy bids available? When is the next bid opening?

I wish you luck but no one here can give you an exact time frame. LAX is small in the big scheme and the vacany has to come from need or in base movement to generate the position.

They all have to do 250 below ten so there is really no advantage to one over the other.

If you want to be based there...flip a coin. Bus or guppy is probably a wash. Not much movement.

Iah info:

The 320 was held by people in training as new hires. I think it was 4 weeks on property. The 737 is around 6 months. This was on the bigger bid we just had. The question is will we have another big bid between now and say next December. I believe we will and if you are on the 320 or 737 you will hold it. Which airplane is faster. No idea. this is the first time in my brief 5 and 1/2 years that it has been less then 12 months to old except for a small number in October of 13.

Good luck

Also for reference 756 is about 18-24 months (after the big bid) and the 777/787 is about 8 years from doh (my guess). These are all FO bid info.

We have been told to expect 1 more vacancy before the summer. They should pick up again in the fall.
