Who is this politician pilot you speak of?

It’s Jim Gunning. DEN Bus Cap I believe. Former Mayor of Lone Tree, CO. Running for district 4 Colorado US House of Representatives.

How many emails from our MEC have you seen supporting his (Jim's) bid for office? Other than the initial email from MEC about 6 months ago saying we had two pilots running we've only seen bi-weekly emails for Dan in VA and zero for Jim in CO... seem a little slanted? I thought we wanted "airline friendly pilots" in Congress???

Thanks for the info. Hopefully we see some emails showing support for his campaign as well.

I just emailed the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the MECs Communication Committee asking why only emails supporting Dan... and why Jim is left out. Maybe Jim asked not to be mentioned? I'll pass on what I hear.

Maybe Jim hates unions? He won't be the first union-hating pilot on the property.

I don't know Jim so I don't know his views. Can you post them here? I took a look at his Facebook page and other sources and couldn't find any opinions on the issues that directly relate to union pilots or our profession. Maybe I missed it. Throw us an assist. I think Dan's views on our issues are well know already. Not Jim's.

Well, that shows us what “Democrat” lawmakers can and do dream up to destroy the common mans income in favor of illegals and ‘welfare recipients’. This is a perfect example.
Funny how a few word changes show the other side of the story.
Except the email is about Dave Brat's (R) Free to Fly Act which would end foreign ownership limitations on US Airlines. I don't see what that has to do with Democrats favoring illegals or welfare recipients. But hey, don't let that stop ya.

Many pilots saw their taxes go up. If you are a pilot and make at least 157k, pay state income tax, own a home, and are single I 100% guarantee your taxes go up. Remove one or two of those and they may still have gone up.
